At the age of 64, the author Fredrik Ekelund comes out as a transvestite. He becomes Marisol and begins a twilight life in Copenhagen where Marisol gets free rein and can live fully. But the wild life in Copenhagen with the trans friends soon begins to erode Marisol. Her children are starting to wonder who their father really is, are they two different people? The memory of a trauma from childhood becomes crucial in the process towards becoming whole, towards reconciliation, with oneself and one's family. Marisol is a film about to never stop growing as a human being and daring to face your inner truth.
